I Love You by Mathieu Boogaerts
"I love you" is an outlier in Boogaert's career. Maybe it was because he was living outside of Paris for the first time for a long time. In Brussels he found a former shooting range which he used as a rehearsal space. Instead of the guitar he composed his songs to the drums and almost consequentially the album is much louder than the introverted masterpiece "Michel". Logically it is also more rhythmic and therefore more danceable than all other Boogaerts albums. The master had fun and just carelessly let it flow.
