In Parole Povere by Joe Barbieri

Anyone who has ever been to Naples might be surprised at how quiet and tender this album is in contrast to the noise and hectic atmosphere that prevails almost everywhere in Joe Barbieri's home town. Barbieri believes it might be a reaction to that. "In parole povere" means "in easy words" and that describes the character of this subtle, but beautifully pointedly arranged album very nicely. Barbieri and his band celebrate a Neapolitan Bossa Nova with the sound of a jazz trio.
